Hey, this is my last day at home before going to the beach
for three weeks. I think I might get heartsick after being away for so
long, but I'm going to try to enjoy it, at least. Listening to 'You and
Me' by Lifehouse over and over - it says a lot….
In other parts of my life, I have made quite a large dent in
the college process, and have some ideas about where I might want to go to
college and what I might end up doing as a career. Some people say it's a
waste of time thinking about it, but personally, I think that if I am going to
be spending most of the best years of my life doing something, I should enjoy
it. Being a guidance counselor, lawyer, social worker, writer, doctor,
accountant, banker, and business manager all sound good at the moment. Not
all at once though! Haha, heave forbid. Also, I think I have some
ideas about some activities I am going to be doing next year – drama,
track/crew, math team, JCI, bridge club, some service thing, partying, going to
sports games, partying, and partying all sound good. Anyways, peace out fellow people, I'll see you
when the school year comes to haunt us again. Leave me some love here
;-O. Ciao!

| Idea borrowed from Alyson - (http://www.xanga.com/BluBryPi) - I did
some personality cocktails (http://www.go-quiz.com/cocktail/cocktail.php) of myself and got some interesting, and
fitting, results!
Plain old Michael yields the general hardiness exemplified in many people with my name:
How to
make a Michael:
Ingredients:
1 part pride
1 part arrogance
1 part energy
Method:
Stir together
in a glass tumbler with a salted rim. Serve with a slice of emotion and
a pinch of salt.
Yum!
Add my last name to the mix and you get something much more specific to me, and freakishly true:
How to
make a Michael Murphy:
Ingredients:
3 parts mercy
5 parts courage
3 parts empathy
Method:
Layer
ingredientes in a shot glass. Serve with a slice of lovability and a
pinch of salt.
Yum!
And add my middle name to get the other specific half of my personality... with an odd wildcard :-O:
How to
make a Michael Aloysius Murphy:
Ingredients:
1 part intelligence
3 parts silliness
3 parts
Method:
Stir together
in a glass tumbler with a salted rim. Top it off with a sprinkle of
caring and
enjoy!
Try this, and let me know if you get similarly scarringly accurate
results. Christie, just letting you know, the result for your
first + last name fits so much . Thanks for the idea
Aly !

| Wow, yesterday was 8/2/05, my two month
anniversary with Christie . We both sped home after work then
spent the night together at my house watching Phantom of the
Opera. It's a pretty good movie, although I definitely think the
phantom deserved what he got ^_^. In real life, I could
definitely see his side of the story, but in a movie, I wanted "the bad
guy" to lose, and I was happy that he did .
Christie got me this awesome tie with a magnified representation of
Anthrax on it. Next MUN conference, anyone? . Tee-hee,
you really have to see this tie - I might even take a picture of it and
upload it here its sooo cool. I think it may have usurped my
silver tie as my favorite . Definitely my favorite based on
the occasion for which I received it .
I would like to conclude by informing you all that Christie is the best
person ever and that I love her. Thank you, and have a nice day
.

| Wow, I have had an up and down ride the past couple of days, with Wednesday definitely being the best by far . On Tuesday, I got into my first accident . Luckily no one was hurt, and their car hardly had a scratch. There goes my front bumper and right headlight, though. I was really shaken up by the whole thing - getting into an accident is very unnerving. When I look at it though, if I had to get into any accident I would have chosen this one. The guy didn't say much and left before even giving me his info, which is kind of good if he files a claim - he didn't quite handle the situation properly. Also, since he left early, the police never came into the picture so neither of us got a ticket. Randy (Wang)'s mom happened to be passing by and stopped to help me out, and I really appreciated that. Overall, it could have been much worse, though it put quite a crimp in my day.
Wednesday, on the other hand, rocked totally. First off, I had to be driven to school so I got some much needed sleep in my dad's car . Then the morning went well, and at lunch I got a great story out of Ariel and Alyson spiking my hair You should have seen me, LoL. It was quite funny - in not wanting to be discovered, Ariel suggested that we turn off the lights and close the door - then immediately retracted the suggestion. It was quite a laughable moment. It was also quite awkward for me to be kneeling on the floor with both of their hands in my hair, and we were giggling nervously the whole time. It was great
Then, after school, Christie's mom showed up and we met Christie at Metro Center after her long day of work at NiH saving the world. We rode one stop over to Chinatown, and since we had an hour and thrity minutes before Mrs. Falco's dinner reservation Christie and I got to see the National Spy Museum together . It was a blast, especially with her.
After that, we went and had dinner at (Zorba?), located right next to the spy museum. I didn't like the art deco styling so much, but Christie did and the food was great - we and Mrs. Falco had a great time. We then walked fast through the rain to the MCI center and I attended my first concert - American Idol Season 4. It was really great - I enjoyed the performances very much. Vonzell and Nico were awesome, as well as Federov.
I then rode home on the metro with Christe & her mom and right after we went on seperate lines I experienced about 40 minutes of delays due to 'cleaning' I got home at 12:30, annoyed with the DC metro system and quite tired, but overall very pleased with my night. May all my days be as fun as that one . Or better.
Best regards,

| Hey, faithful subscribees. How's it going? It's going pretty good here. Saw the NEW Charlie and the Chocolate Factory on Wednesday with my favorite girlfriend of all time . lol. Seeing it with her was great but the movie is subpar. It has a verry surreal feel and Willy Wonka is more eerie than charming, and that is definitely a let down. Overall, the movie is not recommended.
I'm actually doing a great job as a compsci aid today, it's amazing. Helping people with code, actually checking labs - I'm an ideal employee. I'm earning the 20 cents a minute Kinda like I did last year, lol. I guess junior year kind of had taken the effort out of me for a while.... I look around and certain people are doing such awesome things with their time and I feel like such a waste, but then I think about all the base school people getting 3.0's AND doing much much less than I am and I feel good about myself. TJ standards are great for those who can live up to them, but I'm doing just fine.. and really, in a year I won't care how many clubs I was an officer of....
I've also been having some thoughts today about the inevitable end of relationships... It kinda sad thinking about it... I guess its just better not to ^_^. But if you think about it, you can do something to prevent it... Mmm, random musings....
I'd like to thank eveyone who left a comment on my prior post. Makes my day that little bit more interesting. Hope this post brought something to yours
